I have my first show of the year this weekend. The economy being as it is, I am anxious. The weather is going to be great so, though. That is a definite plus. I have produced a lot of new work and it is always helpful to get feedback from customers. Nothing can inspire an artist like selling. It is like getting a shot of creative adrenaline.

I hope some of you like paintings with a single tree on a hill, because I really like painting them. There is so much that can be read into a solitary tree. Solitude, Loneliness,Pride, Indifference, or as a watchman. Hence the Name "Standing Watch". I guess it depend on your perspective. Are you looking at the tree or are you the tree.
